I was born the fourth of five children to John and Muriel Lane. My parents moved to West Covina in 1954 and were active participants in the community.

They successfully owned and operated several local businesses, donating many hours to coaching Little League and Pony League, as well as community events.

My parents took pride in raising their family in West Covina and it is my goal to maintain that pride and commitment to community service within our city.

I have always placed the residents of West Covina first and foremost when making critical decisions for the city as my record shows during my tenure as both Mayor and City Council Member. I will continue to represent the citizens of West Covina, be accessible and work hard to address your issues.

I am honored to be endorsed by both the West Covina Police Officers Association and the West Covina Firefighters Associations. As a councilmember I supported the new public safety radio system, expanded our police helicopter patrol program, installed inpavement flashing light crosswalks at schools across West Covina, implemented the Graffiti Abatement Team (GAT), placed automatic external defibrillators (AED's) in city facilities.

It is extremely important to me that we provide our public safety departments with excellent training and state of the art technology to protect and save lives.

 In my first term as a councilmember I saw a real need for Automatic External Defibrillators (AED's) throughout our city. I initiated the motion to install AED's in several key locations in our city such as the West Covina Senior Citizens Center, Cameron Park Community Center and Gymnasium, City Hall and other locations in our community. Fortunately during an emergency at city hall the AED was instrumental in assisting to save a life.
